Recordist 001 - A Temporary Place is the first edition of a new zine format. Each edition will feature a selected set of images from a project. This edition features the project A Temporary Place. I selected the images from a larger body of work for how they tell part of the story of my encounters along the River Severn.
A Temporary Place is a study of our connection to the river. In creating the project, I discovered the elements that draw us to the river and bring us back to it. Returning to the river lets us experience its perpetual cycle of change in its landscape and structures, and the effects of human presence, with each visit offering a fresh perspective.
The minimal back-cover narrative offers a glimpse of the subject in each image.
