Unfading

"Unfading" is a visual journey along the River Frome in Gloucestershire, tracing its course from the Cotswold village of Nettleton through the steep banks of the Miserden estate and past the historic mills of the Golden Valley. It follows the Thames and Severn Canal through Stroud before merging with the River Severn at Upper Framilode.

Captured with a rare, century-old Aldis lens, this series embraces the river’s evolving landscape with a distinctive, soft quality. Over time, the Frome has borne witness to change—where ancient terrain meets industrial heritage, and nature reclaims the past—creating a layered historical narrative that unfolds through these images.
